Some Home Remedies for Acne and Acne Scar Treatment

Acne is a very common problem with both men and women. Simple acne can be treated easily by some effective home remedies for acne but if it reached to a stage where it roots deep in your skin, then the only treatment for it will be laser or some chemical peels.

Effectual home remedies include topical acne treatment is done through honey, coconut oil, aloe vera and essential oils whereas internal treatments is done through zinc and pantothenic acid supplements.

Honey is a strong antiseptic agent that is used as a home remedy for the acne. It is full of vitamins, minerals, nutrients. Another home remedy for acne is the mixture of coconut oil and aloe vera gel in the ratio 4:1 i.e. 4 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 table spoon of aloe vera gel. Apply this mixture twice a day, leave it for some time and then wash it with warm water.

For Internal treatments take 50-75 mg zinc with copper supplements a day for one month. If the result is still zero then stop taking the supplements, but if you see a difference in the acne then gradually reduce the dose up to 15-30 mg of zinc with copper supplement a day until the acne disappears.

Some times the home remedies fail to show their power to let you get rid of the acne scar due to severe acne. In such conditions the only solution for the acne scar treatment is to do a laser, dermabrasion, chemical peels, keloid injections and soft tissue augmentation treatments. There is not such home remedy that vanish all the acne scars from your skin but can let you lessen them to some extent. Among the entire acne scar treatments, laser is the one which assists you to remove the old and new acne scar from your skin. Its results are more obvious then the other treatments for acne scars.

Garlic will not only disinfect, it also has some healing properties and will help the blemishes fade even faster. Honey makes a good mask as it not only disinfects, it will also remove shallow blackheads.

Sulfur is also good for killing bacteria and it also helps to dry out excess oil. Using a sulfur containing soap will help reduce your acne problems. The mineral chromium is necessary for healing and adding more of it to your diet can help to heal pimples and prevent future breakouts. Tomatoes and onions are both good sources of chromium.

Vitamin A is actually the basis of the well known acne product Retin-A and getting more vitamin A in your diet can help by repairing damaged skin as well as replacing dead skin cells. Carrots and sweet potatoes both contain high levels of vitamin A.

Water is the bodies’ natural cleanser and helps to wash toxins out of our systems. To keep your skin at its best you should be drinking a minimum of 68 ounces of water daily. Don’t rule out natural acne treatment as a way to combat your acne problems. Sometimes the old tried and true methods are still the best.
